Equality for all

starts with you

We are happy to partner with local food re-distribution program Vancouver Fruit Tree Project. The Vancouver Fruit Tree Project is a non-profit society. Volunteers harvest extra fruit from backyard fruit trees and share it with community groups. In the past 16 years, they have picked almost 60,000 pounds of fruit and redistributed it to community centres, neighbourhood houses, daycares and other community initiatives.

With every purchase you make, we donate 5% of that sale towards supporting this initiative and helping to eradicate hunger. We believe that healthy food is a right, not a privilege.

One Tree Planted

Trees clean the air. Trees sequester around 20% of the carbon in the atmosphere (carbon contributes to climate change). Trees help clean the water. It actually is like a filter when there's heavy rain. Trees absorb the water and release it gradually. Trees help with soil erosion.

Look out for this logo on specific products that a tree is planted for every purchase.

GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY IN green WAYS with Trees

Tree are home to 80% of the world’s biodiversity (on land). We lose about 46-58 thousand square miles of forest each year. Not for nothing—a large portion of those trees are turned into the products we buy and use every day. However, this would be unsustainable without active reforestation efforts, especially when you consider how long it takes for a tree to grow and mature.

The organization is called One Tree Planted because its core messaging is that it will plant “one tree for every dollar donated”.

human rights & Animal rights

Drastic health inequalities can be measured in the lack of access to adequate nutrition that vulnerable populations are subject to. A poor diet leads to health conditions that often can be reversed by eating a balanced vegan diet. Unfortunately, many food drives only accept canned and processed goods with long shelf lives and people often donate food they would no longer put into their own bodies. This is why Vancouver Fruit Tree Project is a great initiative to support.

In the end, we're all in this together. Let's be equals.

Health should not be a privilege, because access to [vegan] food is a right we all share.
